Opens with earth and slate notes demonstrating an intriguing brooding demeanor. Shows fruit elements of lemon, dried fig, and golden apples within the continuing theme of earth and butterscotch, forceful but not overdone. Tang of lemon balances the buttery notes to keep them from becoming heavy, minerals add richness and mystery. Finish is medium with black pepper, lemon, and earth. Classic expression of the grape. Nice as an aperitif. Pair with poultry, especially roasted, heavy fish, or hard cheeses.
