Medium golden in the glass, shows a touch of green on highlights. Medium aromas of fresh bread, lemon creams, and toast with floral notes over coconut and vanilla on the bouquet. Lemon hard candy and creme brule opens on the palette and develops engaging and striking contrasts to fruit flavors of bright Granny Smith apples and ripe pears. This full bodied wine displays beautiful round and rich texture supporting deep earth flavors and sparkling fruit. Finishes with mouth watering acids, pepper, fresh bread, and toasted almonds in waves. Decent as an aperitif but acids make it perfect with cream sauces on full flavored fish or soft ripened cheeses and fruit. Impressive. Whitecliff shows that the Hudson Valley can produce excellent estate bottled Chardonnays.
