Pale golden with faint green hue in the glass. Bouquet of vanilla, coconut, anise, apricots, with slate minerality. Aromas open and become more pronounced in the glass. Fruit focused with smooth but clean textures. Flavors of golden apples, peaches and lemon candy on the palate. Body is light but builds in the glass to a full roundness and strength. None the less, refreshing juicy fruit flavors stand out; elegant and restrained. Shows classic approach of the Wiemer vineyard towards understated elegance, balance, and complexity. Flavors grow in strength in the glass as the wine reveals itself with time. Finish is lingering showing a touch of smoke and toast under stone fruit motifs. Acids are present and mouthwatering but appear restrained and hidden. Good as an aperitif. Pair with simply prepared fresh water fish or mollusks. Decant to bring out the hidden characteristics of this wine.
