Pale straw to gold with light green sparkles in the glass of this North Fork steel fermented Chardonnay. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, and a touch of anise open on the nose. Bright flavors of green apples with tart lemon and limes forward. Develops peach textures and flavors over crisp clean acids and a touch of vanilla. Quince and lime on racy, refreshing, palate cleansing finish. Nice balance of orchard fruit against citrus notes and clean opposed to succulent textures. Acids are prominent as one would expect from an un-oaked Long Island Chardonnay, but not overwhelming. Not good as an aperitif because of citrus emphasis. Pair with mollusks, lobster, fresh water fish simply prepared, or an English fish pie. Exceptional seafood wine.
