Pale straw to gold in the glass on Anthony Road’s 2007 Pinot Gris. The wine is and estate bottled 100% steel fermented Pinot Gris. Aromas of green apple, anise, fennel seeds with light floral tones; aromatic. Fruit forward wine shows some light Meyer’s lemon, Granny Smith apples, and a touch of melon. Displays good balance. Clean and crisp with light weight and good acid balance. Shows a refreshing tartness. Lingering finish shows citrus tones and minerality of slate and flint. Excellent as an aperitif. Pair with raw mollusks or simply prepared crustaceans. Well priced.
