Pale gold with light green highlights in the glass on King Ferry’s Treleaven Semi-Dry Riesling. Aromas of peaches, Meyers lemon, and slate; soft bouquet shows floral hints. Ripe white peach flavors open on the palate with light citrus undertones and hints of Graham cracker. Develops honey and melon flavors mid palate. Shows some weight with glycerin textures. Soft and smooth on a lightly sweet framework. Citrus tones provide balance to orchard fruit. Solid and well constructed Riesling. Somewhat less lush than the 2007 this vintage displaying a bit more balance. Finish becomes juicy and mouthwatering with continuing orchard fruit and citrus themes. Good as an aperitif for those who do not mind a touch of sweetness before dinner. Pair with spicy chicken wings or chili with lighter meats. Well priced.
